One of the most impressive and well preserved exam One of the most impressive and well preserved examples of Roman architecture in Spain is the Temple of Diana, located in Merida 🏛️

It was originally used as the main temple of the city but over time it was repurposed as a palace/home until 1972. It’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see in Extremadura 🇪🇸

This Moorish fortress was built in the 9th century and its ancient walls are still very much intact 😍

It’s a great historic site to walk around, just avoid it midday because there aren’t many places to shelter from the sun 🇪🇸
