Whether you’re planning a short stop or a romantic getaway, Niagara Falls offers plenty to fill your schedule with. The pass gives you access to several key attractions in Niagara Falls, and it includes parking and public transportation access, all for a single price. The pass is valid until its expiration date in November, so you don’t need to use it all in a day or two. You’ll also be able to use the Niagara-on-the-Lake shuttle for no extra charge. Getting around Niagara Falls
Parking in Niagara Falls isn’t cheap, especially if you want to park close to the main attractions. What’s great about the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus is that it includes 2-day WEGO bus and 2-day Falls Incline Railway access, which starts from the moment you scan your pass. You can also use the park-and-ride Rapidsview Parking Lot C for free, which is where you’ll hop on the bus to get back to the Clifton Hill area. Of course, you can use taxis to get around, but a combination of walking and using the buses is the best and cheapest option.
How to use the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus
Just remember, you need to activate your pass at either the Table Rock Welcome Centre or one of the attractions before using it. You will also be required to choose times for each attraction, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead or ask one of the staff for help planning your itinerary. A staff member will provide you with a printout of your timed entrances and they’ll ensure you have enough time to travel between each attraction. The attractions don’t need to be visited all in the same day either.
Your Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus entitles you to enter several attractions like the Butterfly Conservatory, Niagara Parks Power Station, and the Floral Showhouse (as well as those listed below). If you have time during your trip to Niagara Falls, I’d highly recommend spending some time exploring Niagara-on-the-Lake or heading to a winery close by. There are other variations of the pass available too, which include more or less attractions and perks for different prices.

Journey Behind the Falls
Journey Behind the Falls is a must-have experience in Niagara Falls. It’s a unique attraction that puts you behind one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world – the Horseshoe Falls. This immersive experience is unlike anything you will have seen before, and it offers a view that you can’t get from regular viewpoints. Standard adult admission costs $29.00 CAD without the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus.
What you can expect is to be taken down an elevator into a series of tunnels carved into the rock. The first tunnel ends at an observation platform right beside the waterfall, giving you an incredible view of the curtain of water that’s falling. The other set of tunnels will lead you behind the Falls, and there are two lookout points that let you to get fairly close to the water (there’s a barrier to protect you). You’re provided with a poncho before you go down since you’re most likely to get a little wet. Whether you get soaked or not will depend on the way the wind is blowing.
Niagara Takes Flight
A fairly new attraction on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls worth visiting is Niagara Takes Flight. It provides visitors with a unique way to see Niagara from beyond the ground-level viewpoints. This immersive flying experience uses motion-based seating, a huge domed screen, and special effects like mist and wind to simulate soaring high above Niagara Falls. Before takeoff, you can enjoy a pre-show that gives you some background into the history of the region, from Indigenous heritage to its modern landscape.
For a lot of people, Niagara Takes Flight is a great combination of thrill-ride excitement and education, making it fun for people of all ages. The cost without the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus is $29.00 CAD, with cheaper rates available for children. Niagara Takes Flight is located inside the Table Rock Centre – where Journey Behind the Falls is as well.
White Water Walk
One of my favourite places to visit in Niagara Falls is the White Water Walk. This attraction is located a short drive along the river from Clifton Hill, and you can use the WEGO bus to get to it. The White Water Walk takes you to the edge of the Niagara River’s Class 6 rapids, which are some of the most powerful and wildest in North America. The boardwalk that runs along the riverbank lets you stroll alongside the fast-paced water so you can safely see them up close.
The entire boardwalk offers some amazing photo spots, and in October you’ll find it much quieter than the summertime. This is the perfect spot to come if you’re interested in seeing Niagara’s energy from a different perspective, or if you’re a nature lover who enjoys beautiful landscapes. Admission costs $20.00 CAD and the boardwalk is easily accessible thanks to the elevator system that takes you to the base of the river.
Whirlpool Aero Car
Just a short drive from the White Water Walk is another fantastic attraction in Niagara Falls – the Whirlpool Aero Car. This historic cable car takes you directly over the swirling Niagara Whirlpool and the powerful rapids of the Niagara River. It offers panoramic views that you simply can’t see from ground level, all while suspended above the gorge. You can sometimes catch a glimpse of the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours below – something I’d highly recommend trying if you’re a thrill-seeker.
The Whirlpool Aero Car is a classic experience that’s included in the price of the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus. It’s been thrilling visitors for over a century, and it gives you a real appreciation for the scale of Niagara’s geology from above. A ticket without the pass will cost you $20.00 CAD per adult.
Four historic heritage sites
There may be a lot of modern attractions around Niagara Falls, but the region does come with its fair share of history too. Included with the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus are four heritage sites that sit around the Niagara Parkway. Each of these sites offers a different look into Niagara’s past, making them the perfect addition to any itinerary for history enthusiasts. These sites include:
- Laura Secord Homestead – Canadian heroine of the War of 1812 ($10.25 CAD).
- Old Fort Erie – Restored military fort with Civil War era significance ($15.00 CAD).
- Mackenzie Printery – A recreated 19th century newsroom and press ($7.75 CAD).
- McFarland House – A well-preserved 19th century home that tells the tales of early settler life in the area ($7.75 CAD).
Even if you can’t manage to fit all of these historic sites in Niagara into your schedule, I’d recommend visiting at least one.
Where to stay near Niagara Falls
The Scotsman Hotel
Niagara Falls is a lot of fun to visit, but if you want to stay somewhere a little quieter, I’d suggest driving to Niagara-on-the-Lake. We spent two nights at The Scotsman Hotel – a boutique hotel known for its old-world Scottish charm and bespoke luxury. The Balmoral Suite in particular is a great choice for couples or solo travellers looking for an intimate and calming retreat. There’s even a fully-stocked mini bar in the room, and as soon as you check-in you’re given a full bottle of prosecco to enjoy.
Whether you’re spending most of your time in Niagara Falls or you plan to include some wine tasting experiences in your itinerary, The Scotsman Hotel is the perfect place to rest your head. You won’t find another 5-star hotel like it in the Niagara region.
Is the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus worth it?
If you’re still on the fence about whether the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus is worth it, maybe this will help. The cost of the pass is $109.00 CAD + taxes, and if you were to visit every attraction included with the pass, and use all of the other perks, you’d save over 58%. That’s a huge chunk of change that can be put towards other activities in Niagara Falls. In my opinion, the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus offers great value for money, allowing you to see the city’s main attractions for one price.
