Visiting Brussels during the holiday season is an

Visiting Brussels during the holiday season is an incredible experience with all the Christmas markets open around the city centre 🎄

We wanted to stay somewhere that was both central and close to public transportation links, which is why we chose to stay with @meininger_hotels (again) 💪🏼

The MEININGER Hotel Brussels Gare du Midi is less than 15 minutes away from the main square and the old town, and it’s very budget friendly too 🛌

They have a variety of room styles available which cater to solo travellers, couples, and larger groups or families. The hotel also features a shared kitchen space, a bar, a small game zone, and a delicious buffet breakfast every morning 🍳

Is this the coolest travel bag ever?! 🤯

During our recent trip to Brussels for the Christmas markets, I had the chance to try out my new washable travel duffel from @tobiqtravel 🎒

It has 18 organizational options, including a padded laptop compartment and side pockets for easy access to your travel documents 💻

What I love the most about the bag though is that it can be used as either a duffel or a backpack. The backpack straps can be tucked away when they’re not in use too 💪🏼

Everyone has heard of the Cărturești Carusel bookshop in Bucharest, but here’s a cool alternative instead 📚

Cărturești Verona is based inside a 19th century house that was the former residence of one of Romania’s most important historical figures, Dimitrie Sturdza 🤯

There are various floors to explore in the bookshop and each room has been uniquely designed to match the historical nature of the building 🤩

Bucharest has an interesting history behind it, and it’s considered to be one of the newest capital cities in Europe 👀

The first mention of the city only dates back to 1459, through a document signed by Vlad III, also known as Vlad the Impaler 🩸

There are a lot of things to see and do in Bucharest, but the main highlights can easily be seen in just one day. I’d recommend spending 2 days in Bucharest so you can explore areas that are further away from the old town though 🤩

Make sure you stop at @sipbucharest for the best cocktails in Bucharest too! 🍹
