Castello Sforzesco is a breathtaking free historic Castello Sforzesco is a breathtaking free historic site in Milan to explore 🏰

This castle was once home to the prominent Sforza family, and was originally constructed in the 14th century 🧱

Parts of the defence were even designed by da Vinci 🧑🏼‍🎨

Behind the castle you can find Parco Sempione, which is beautiful to walk around. This is where you’ll find the Olympic flame too, if you’re visiting Milan now 🔥

Have you been to this castle in Italy? 🇮🇹

Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio is by far one of my favo Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio is by far one of my favourite free historic sites in Milan to visit 🤩

It’s the perfect alternative if you aren’t planning on going inside of the Duomo 🔔

The basilica was built in the 4th century by St Ambrose, and is one of the oldest churches in Milan 🧱

Both the courtyard and the interior of the basilica are open to the public, and it’s a beautiful spot to take photos near sunset too when there are less people around 📸

Have you heard of this landmark in Milan before? 🇮🇹

A lot of people choose not to visit Milan because A lot of people choose not to visit Milan because there’s “not much to see”, but that couldn’t be further from the truth 😉

This was our second trip to the city, and during our one day in Milan we were able to see key attractions such as ⬇️

The Duomo
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio
Castello Sforzesco
Arco della Pace

We stopped at @spun_tiramisu for tiramisu, ate pizza at @spontini_pizza , and had freshly made pasta from @miscusi.family 🍝

And don’t forget, Milan is also home to one of the most unique spas in Italy - QC Termemilano 🧖🏼‍♀️

If you’re planning to walk around Milan, make sure you have good footwear. Since we visited Milan in the winter, we chose our stylish Gortex boots from @pomarshoes to keep us warm 🥾

Have you been watching the Winter Olympics? 🏅 We Have you been watching the Winter Olympics? 🏅

We took a short trip to Milan to catch Team Canada’s women’s team in action 🏒🇨🇦

If you’re planning to visit Milan over the next couple of weeks, I’d recommend walking the entire “Olympic Boulevard” which is a great way to see the city’s most iconic locations and enjoy some Olympic-themed shops, stalls, and houses along the way 🤩

You’ll also be able to pick up a lot of freebies from brands to take home as souvenirs 🇮🇹
